Try adding a track above track 1. So T1 becomes T2 and text is inserted in the new T1. Note

    I applied Ripple Edit.

  • As Graham and Jorma answered. I usually add a suitable new video track above the base title/text video track. Then click on the track where you want to insert the desired title/text. The title/text that you inserted will immediately appear in the video below.

If you click and select a real video track and paste a title/text, all titles/text will be inserted into some video track and the background should turn black. The audience may or may not want it.

And as Graham points out, autoexpand may not be the best option you need for overlaying a title/text over a finished video. Insert a title/text box based on the current threshold setting. For example, if you are inserting a trusted title/text associated with your movie and you want everything to be correctly applied to enable the required area for the title/text field, just after this automatic ripple (all marker tracks as areas). will be a good environment.

  • [Barnaby Winser] “The Insert Phrase Media button seems to be hidden so it works fine when pressed in Sony Vegas. Can I fix this?”

Try selecting a video track. You have selected an audio file, so all menu items are usually grayed out due to the video. (i.e. you cannot insert multimedia text into an audio track) The menu items are relevant for all selected tracks.

Try adding a track above track 1. Then T1 becomes T2 and inserts the text into the new track T1.
